SIXTEEN February 16, 2006 - Well it's back to searching for Real Estate. Today was a funny day. Someone told us about 400 Hectares (1,000 acres) for sale on the Island of Siquihor. Siquihor is located a short distance from Negros by boat and is a very mysterious place best known for witches and ghosts and other supernatural things occuring. Seems this only bothers Filipinos and no one else. Anyway, we were told that this huge property with gorgeous white sand beaches was for sale of only 6 million pesos whcih is about $110,00 USD. I almost peed my pants. The chance to be a land barron LOL. Of course it was too good to be true. It was already sold. Later in the day we looked at yet another property. This one is about 3,000 sqm and located in Dauin about 15km from Dumaguete. It is a great beach property with a terrific location and perfect for building a main house, pool and a number of guest cottages. It makes sense to have a property that can easily be converted into a resort and this one could as it is very wide with lots of beachfront. The problem of the moment with this one is road access. It doesn't exist but the current owner promises to put one in. Oh well, lets see if we can make this one happen. Apparently, the good news is this property has a clear title. Tommorow we will make an offer and see if he bites.
