FIFTY EIGHT January 21 - We went to see Dr. Tan today. Apparently we are in the 37th week which is considered full term and should be ready to deliver in the next two weeks. She would be surprised if we go past the 5th. One thing of concern when we had the ultrasound is she mentioned that the umbilical chord is near Alex's neck and she wants us to monitor her movement and make sure she moves 4 times per hour as would be normal now. She also said Lynn was starting ot have minor contractions. It's kinda funny but Lynn met me about 1/2 hour after the test for contractions and was all excited and said to me she was starting to have constructions. It was so cute and very funny of course. I asked her again what she had just said and she repeated it. I then laughed a little and corrected her. She does stuff like this every so often and it always put a smile on my face. She also said that her cervix was open 3mm so this means I'm not going to Cebu. Exciting times....

In most cases double the cost. Today we went to a lunch place that I have come to enjoy and frequent often. It's called "Miracle Mile" The thing about it is it is owned and operated by a Minister and his family who moved here recently from Dallas, Texas. As you might imagine, most of the patrons go there to hangout and share the gospel, food and drink with likeminded Christians. There are bible study classes. You get the picture. I like it because it is peaceful and comfortable THAT'S IT!!! The fact is in recent years I have moved closer to becoming a true atheist. I still slip up and say "God Bless" or "Jesus Christ". Gotta break that habit LOL Anyway, the other day I brought in two articles I was seeking some objective commentary on as it was the polar opposite of what these folks are all about. The first articles was "10 Reasons Why Religion should be Stamped Out". The second was entitled "10 Reasons Why God Does Not Exist" I gave them to a Filipino American Kid who had told me he knew someone who had written "10 Reasons Why God Exists" I figured this would be a good place to start. Anyway to cut to the punchline, today my waiter came over to me and said he can't find his way spiritually and was wondering if he could talk to me privately sometime. I said sure and we exchanged cell #'s. But this is a wierd world we are living in now. I got to thinking and it kind of freaked me out when I let my imagination run wild. Maybe I have been watching too many movies but I am picturing him showing up to our meeting with explosives strapped to his chest and taking me with him to the promised land. In any event I think I will pass as I am not equipped for this. My only advice to him and anyone else would be as I was taught by my mother is to first and foremost love and have confidence in yourself; be postive; don't make excuses; learn from your mistakes; be a good listener; don't rely on anyone else but yourself. Of course there are many more that I won't go into here but the bottom line is for people like this is to stop making God as your excuse/crutch for everything good or bad in your life.
